The concept of this Popsicle recipe (if you can even call it that!) is simple. Buy some Santa Cruz Organic juice, pour the juice into a mold and freeze! Don’t have a mold? Look for clearance deals just about anywhere because stores are currently moving summer items out and bringing fall/winter items in. In fact, I got the one pictured above for just $1.99 (half off) at a local kitchen boutique. I make my daughter her own popsicles for two main reasons:
1.) It’s ridiculously cheap.
This bottle was on sale for $1.50 at Kroger but I had a coupon for $1.00 off. Yep, I paid a mere 50¢. Just one bottle makes approximately 20 popsicles so that equates to only 2.5¢ per pop!
2.) Ingredient control.
When I make snacks at home it allows me to completely control what the ingredients are. Often times I purchase fresh produce and run it through my juicer and freeze it in the molds as well. There is no wrong way to make a popsicle so chop up some fruit, add some jazz and make it your own. Feel free to share any of your ideas in the comment section below!
**If you’d like to look at some online prices for popsicle molds then visit Amazon.com. I think next summer I’ll upgrade to some silicone ones because they look so super cool plus I won’t have to worry about them cracking with use (or by trying to get them out. LOL ).
